    Training?

I saw some places that did some firearms training (don't need total newbie stuff, but I'm no precision shooter), does anyone have any recommendations for places that teach well (getting accuracy up, and some self-defense tips) that aren't ridiculously expensive and aren't a waste of time either (some I've seen are just really rudimentary, met one guy who said he could guarantee you could pass the LAPD test, well I can do that without shooting for months...)

I'm in SoCal, if you know of any here that would be great, if not I guess I could travel a bit...

Pipskick you can always try out West Coast Tactical run by our very own board member TackDrivr.

His tactical handgun class 2 is coming up at the end of this month.

Most if not all schools will want you to start out at the entry level.

Talking with a good friend of mine who is a tactical guy his thoughts were. If you are going to spend the $$$ on training you should start out at their beginning course so you learn the doctrine of the school. I was surprised to hear this from him because he is the firearms instructor for his "boys". He has no problem starting at the beginning when he could be the one teaching the instructors.

            Good luck
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.

In addition to the other schools listed above, Tactical Response is another school that holds classes in SoCal. If they don't have something on schedule, you can work with them to host a class and you get to attend it for free.

I think their Fighting Pistol course is what you're looking for.
