Wheelgunners,
I am excited to announce that the 14th Annual ICORE Southwest Regional Revolver Championship will be on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the Hogue Range in Morro Bay, CA. Registration begins at 7:00 A.M. The awards ceremony and prize table will be immediately after the match on Saturday afternoon. There will be a lunch available for purchase at the match for around $5.00 - $8.00.
If you would like to be a Range Officer, please email me and let me know. ROs will shoot with their squad on Saturday.
We will have 8 stages and, tentatively, a cash back side match sponsored by Pro-Mag. The round count for the match will be approximately 250 rounds. There will be trophies for 1st through 3rd place in each classification (GM-D) in all three divisions (Open, Limited, and Classic). We will also give trophies to 1st place in several special recognition categories (Lady, Senior, Senior+, Junior)
Juniors (17 and under) may shoot the match for free and walk the prize table, but they may not win a gun unless they paid the match fees before the match begins.
This year, ICORE is generously sponsoring the Regional matches by offering cash prizes. There will be $100 given to the three division winners, and there will be five $50 prizes draw randomly from the shooters. These prizes are in addition to a trip to the prize table. There will be a prize table for each division in straight order of finish.
We are also excited to announce the 1st Annual ICORE Open golf tournament on Friday, April 22 at Dairy Creek Golf Course near the Hogue Range. The tournament starts at 1:00 P.M. and costs $40. The entry fee includes 18 rounds of golf, cart rental, and a beverage! If you are a golfer, bring your clubs and your revolver for two days of fun. Or bring a golfer with you to the tournament, even if they are not shooting the Regional. One of our Range Officers will be shooting the golf tournament with his wife on Friday, then shooting the Regional on Saturday. Sounds like an awesome weekend to me! Fun for the whole family.Smile
On Saturday after the match, we will be giving a special plaque to the person who has the lowest golf and shooting scores combined!
I have attached applications for both the Southwest Regional and the ICORE Open golf tournament.
Please fill out your applications and mail them to me ASAP. I would also appreciate a reply to this email if you are planning to come or not so I can make plans for how many guns I can buy for the prize table.
