    The forum does say "training" and I hope this is a good place for this story :-)

    Teens at explosives camp learn how to use dynamite to obliterate watermelons and blast rocks from the depths of mine shafts. Their leader, a Missouri professor, hopes to recruit high school students for careers in mine engineering by teaching them how to properly use dynamite, TNT and plastic bombs at his weeklong camp.
    Mention the Deacons for Defense and Justice and make both left and right wingnuts squirm

                  I run heavy equipment in what they call a "shot rock" quarry (91 and 15 frwy in Corona). We "shoot" (blast) just about everyday. Since 911 you would be surprized at how hard ATF is working at keeping explosives away from those that would like to get a hold of it for nefarious use . All of the guys on the blasting crew or those that come in contact with it have had to go through background checks. Those that have felonies are not allowed to be around it any longer. US citizenship is mandatory as well. Not sure if green card or legal resident type permits are allowed.

                              I would of loved this class when I was a teen. Would still love it now...

                              Yeah, also agree that foreign citizens should not be taking explosives classes, or "don't need to land" flying lessons, or anything else that could cause another 9/11...
