Hey I was looking on the site here browsing the FS membership sales thing. Did I read the FS website correctly when I saw this? Kinda lotta info there to take in.

Yes, but when you buy it there you get a bunch of guns, a watch, some parties, etc.

What people are selling here is just the training included in the Diamond membership. Its a steal for the price.

Yea you don't need to pay that price at all. There are tons of memberships that are available for a lot less then that. You just don't get all the free stuff.

Few people pay the full 100K for the FS membership, usually the best deals are to had at gunshows or buying certificates for other members.

Before now, most diamond memberships I've seen have been in the 2K-10K range.

Now the question is, what do you do with those guys that find out I paid $250 for mine and they paid $99K? Well odds are a guy who pays $99K still wouldn't care.

There are a few I know of that aren't too happy about it.

After going to my first class at FS on a certificate I jumped at the chance to buy a Diamond at $2K. I am trying to go about once every month or two and still think its a good deal at $2K. The special they are running now allowed me to more than cover the cost of my membership and actually make some money

That happened to me last summer. I met a guy at lunch that had paid full price. We didn't find out until talking that night how much each of us paid. He was a little sour about it, I could tell. But he'd also been training there for 8 years. He was happy enough to be coming back that long. In the end he did say, he was glad I got a good deal and that I was training.

But you have to consider the full picture.

I opted make monthly payments on my membership. There is no interest charged, they never ran a credit check and the "account" doesn't show up on any credit reports. I received about $3k worth of firearms from them when I had only paid about $300 on my membership. So, in a sense I think of it as a $6k membership at that point ... but it doesn't end there. There have been other deals available to Diamond members which have netted me about $1k free-and-clear ... so we're down to $5k in a sense.

If I had not been a Diamond member I would not have been able to offer so many CalGunners a killer deal on memberships, and get more guns for my participation. I don't know how to quantify getting CalGunners great training, but I have about $6000 dollars worth of bonus weapons coming my way.

I think my membership is making me money at this point.

I agree. After this promotion, ill be way way ahead of the game. And even if i had not earned the free guns, I wouldnt have felt bad about paying in $7k range because I have used it and used it a lot. Im glad more people will finally be off the fence and start training....
