I believe it will be shotgun/pistol.

Anyone know the round count, or have stage layouts?

And for shotgun, does anyone have the shell count? (Target loads/slug loads).

Cant make it this time, but I guess I could still have posted the thread.

We never have layouts before hand unless Rick makes one.

Round count, on the high side, 50 birdshot, 30 buckshot, 20 slugs.

Chabot's shotgun matches are a chance to practice defensive/offensive shotgun. Not your typical 3 gun shotgun match where its all birdshot.

I have around 250 target loads. (2 3/4", 7.5# shot, 3 dram), and around 360 sabot slugs I just cast last week. (I home-rolled them into low-recoil slug rounds as well).

Yall missed-out!

It was high and dry all day.

Just as the last shooter (Alba) was getting ready to shoot, it started raining a touch - but not much.

Then it stopped for everyone to put away their gear.

Driving home across the San Mateo bridge, it started to come down.

Bottom line, it was a great shoot, and I had a good time. (I think I only got 2-mikes during the slug shooting).

The Rrio stuff is good-to-go.

I shot today with nary a hiccup.

I did not know I needed to bring 00-Buck loads, so it caught me by surprise that I needed to have them for the match. But Alba came to save the day, and let me borrow 20 of her Remmy low-recoil 00-Buck rounds.

Everything ran good today.

I fumbled and dropped a shotshell while reloading on one stage, then I had 2 slug mikes on another stage, and then I failed to engage a pistol target on another stage...geesh!

On top of that, it was the first time shooting my new shotgun in a match, and wet weather gear also hampered my ability to draw pistol mags. (Not really an excuse, as EVERYONE had wet weather gear in place as well).

And I still placed 3rd?! Ha ha ha.

It was a good learning experience, and shooting ALL WEAPONS is fun.

There were a few new shooters, and based on the comments being made, everyone had a good time.

Next time will (hopefully) yield better results for me..

By the way, did you check out Albas score? She did great for her first ever shotgun match!!!

PS: Get ready for the Sac multi-gun match at the end of January. Make sure to have your shotgun zeroed with your slugs, and make sure to experiment with your chokes for your target loads.
