Uncle Scotty at ITTS The quality of practical gun fighting instruction is as good as anybody's. This goes for all levels of experience and his courses are 'adaptive'. Meaning he can challenge/improve your skills regardless of level. The facilities get better every year and they are local. So no travel/lodging costs. The schedule at ITTS will give you several chance to get to the courses in the first part of this year.

Take a good look at the Defensive Handgun (1-3) series. With the money you save on travel to Gunsite or Thunder Ranch, you could probably both run the entire series for the price of 1 trip for 1 of you to Arizona for the 250 class.

I'll echo the recommendations for ITTS. Especially since you're in the LA area, there's no reason to travel when you've got such highly respected instructors in your immediate area.

His training is top notch and affordable. Check it out.

Front Sight is offering GREAT memberships deals to their current members to bring in a broader customer base.

I agree - it would be wonderful to have a Calguns weekend course at Front Sight. I am working on making that happen.

There courses are customized for the young and then the rest of us.

I would find a way to get to Thunder Ranch. Theya re booked far in advance, but often have last minute cancellations if you're on the wait list. Clint's training is superb and you are one of a 12 person class, versus a huge class such as Frontsight. And the Clintisms are worth the trip alone. You will learn more in 20 minutes at TR than you will in 4 days at most places, FS included.
