    Fresno, Ca Sniper Training??

    Hello guys,

I am a civi and looking for some sniper training around the Fresno, Ca. I mainly would like to learn how to better work with my scope and calculations to achieve some long range hits. I have been looking for some sort of training classes in my area but have not been successful in finding anything. The closest classes are in the LA or Sac area. Does any one know of anything happening in the metioned area? Or if there is a qualified instructor please pm.

There is an abundance of people that would like to take some sort of instruction on some long range action. And unfortunately because people have demanding work schedules traveling far is a bummer and a local class would be very sweet!

Haven't heard of anything worthwhile around Fresno, even back when I was living there.

I'm in Tehachapi and the CAPRC puts on a clinic just about 10 minutes from here. If you have any questions, rifle/scope related or otherwise, feel free to PM me.

Get a hold of FRPC (Fresno Rifle Pistol Club) located in Auberry. I know they had a class goign a few years ago. Myself and one of my partners were taking an advanced defensive pistol class from Bill Jeans of Morrigan Consulting and during lunch Bill took me to the back side to meet the instructor who was also a former Marine and I believe a sniper who had worked with Carlos Hathcock.
      Good Luck.

      This is my shield.
I bare it before me into battle, but it is not my own.
It protects the brother on my left.
      It protects my city.
I will never let my brother out of its shadow, nor my city from its
      shelter.
I will die with my shield before me, facing the enemy.

FRPC doesnt do it...only for the L-R matches and you can only use their long range if your in the match.

The class I will be running is a Riflemens Class.
            This is not "Sniper" training.

I have possibly 4 available openings.
Class size will only be 10.
The first day will move pretty quickly. We will be moving out in 100 yards increments. Students will have their own target and if they are ready, can move to the next distance. No worries over not being able to keep up with other shooters. You can progress as fast as you feel you can comfortably apply the material.
The second day will be focused on practicals, along with the applications of what you learned on Saturday.
This will be a class for those who want to learn what the limitations/advantages/unknown is about their current hunting/target/sport shooting rifle as it relates to distance and slow fire.
Students will work together in pairs as shooter/spotter. The advantage will be having the perspective of spotting, focusing on just helping your shooting partner. The ability for both of you to help each other not only apply the lesson material but also coach and encourage each other.
This class will be on a private range laid out to 1000 yards. Additional length is available.
Steel and paper will be available.
            Sorry, no 50s or simliar.
