I had a great time too and my lady was impressed thanks for the warm welcome to her. Nice meeting you all. I was one chicken away from a clean run on the bench. I'll be back again with a different rifle offhand. Bench was too easy.

I have a few questions: I am an experienced shooter but my wife is not. She can hit a 9" bong at 200yds with my help, is this match for beginner shooters? She would be using a .223 bolt action w/ 40-50 gr. HP or ballistic tips will this knock down the targets? Also FMJ rds are okay, just not steel core, correct. Thanks, Tony in Milpitas.

I believe steel cores are not allowed. As far as it being "for beginners" I would say why not? It's fun and if she can shoot 5 rounds in 2.5 minutes great, if she can hit the targets, that's even better. The targets are steel but not that heavy, they should go down with a 40-50grain.. Just my .02

Thanks Romanski, I hope to make the match in Dec. We will start off the bench. And be using a couple of Rem 700 in .223.

Dang it! I meant to make this match, forgot & volunteered to do something else.

Hope I can remember the Dec 26 one. Got some fresh .308's loaded up.
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

Sirs, I am planning on attending Decembers' match. Will it be held if it is raining?
