Thanks dude! Yeah, I was in a great squad and once again I've got to thank Geoff for that because I did switch squads from what was originally posted. So thanks again Geoff, for squeezing me into that squad.

A friend of mine came with me to the match to video tape me and check out how the match runs. He also helped a lot with taping and stage reset. After the results were read we were both impressed with how well our squad was represented toward the top of the list. It was a great experience and I hope I'm fortunate enough to be squaded with such great shooters next year as well.

Only if you promise not to brake clay holders or rip targets to shreds
      With Oden on our side.

Yeah, that was totally unexpected. You can see the clay holder blow over and the top blow off of the other one in the video. Funny thing is I didn't even notice as I was shooting, just saw the clay explode and moved on to the next one.... blowing the point blank targets apart however did throw me off... I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do! Do I take another shot into the target underneith? Don't want to keep shooting at the target that's getting blown off, it's doesn't have anything under it to catch the round anymore... in the back where there were 6 targets I did my best to shoot two into each. Funny though, the first time it blew off, I shot once, it blew away and when I recovered from recoil I saw more than one hole, didn't see the target blow away, just saw the shotgun pattern left from all the previous shooters and I paused a second, I didn't know what was going on! Did I have my gun loaded with nails or something? hahaha

Yeah, word to the wise, definitly put the Garand shooters and M1A shooters last, they're stage destroyers! I felt so bad destroying that stage and having only one more shooter on our squad that still needed to shoot it. It would have had to be rebuilt anyway, there was still a squad behind us though, so it would have had to be rebuilt yet anyway. They had me go last on our final stage, stage 5 on bay 4. It actually held up pretty well. I made sure to stay back a little more. I could have used a bayonnett on those targets they were so close haha. But I tried to stay back a little and only ended up blowing one off the stand haha.

The correct fix will be to keep targets at 6-8 feet minimum or put plywood backers under extreme closeup targets. I definitely learned a few things to fix for next year

Yeah, that would have been me

On the positive side, I got plenty of time to walk the stage

It was just a Condor drop leg platform that I got at the gunshow. The Pals webbing just happened to fit the 30-06 rounds in the clips pretty good. The Clips are made so that there are 4 rounds on each side. I just tried to shove the left two on one side of a stitching, and the right three on the other side of the stitching and it seemed to hold pretty good. I just took the top loop/buckle off to get the platform closer to my belt and within easier reach for the bottom clips.

When it was brand new it held really really tight. I left them in overnight after a practice session and they seemed to be held in a little less. I had two occasions during the match where I lost one clip each. Both times where while running. I'm not sure if the clip wasn't shoved down in there enough or if I really moved enough to pop one loose. I also swung the platform more toward the back side of my leg for stage 5 when I went prone, otherwise the rounds would get in the dirt... The M1 probably would have functioned fine with a little dirt on the rounds, but why try if you don't have to.
