A few of us in my group have trained with Uli Gebbhard. We also had the pleasure of Richard and Corina Coppeland instructing on the end of the last day as well. All in all a great experience.

I took the 2-day Suarez International Close Range Gunfighting on March 15-16, 2008 with Uli Gebhard. Uli is a very good instructor and quite attentive and knowledgeable. Uli even brought out his Saiga AK and let us shoot it. My one issue was with the class itself and not Uli. Every day we would finish at around 2pm or sooner because the material was covered. I would've liked for us to continue doing more drills until the allotted time of 4:30pm. If we're already there and have the ammo why not make use of the time.
Their drills are bloodless battles, and their battles bloody drills.

To set things straight - yes, the class ended early back then - It was one of the first CRG courses that I taught. I'm still puzzled by one question: I asked the class and you in person at the end of day one, during the lunch break on day two (when we had quite a long one-on-one chat) and towards the end of the second day for your feedback. You never stepped up to say what you posted here.

I learned from Gabe that you took this complaint directly to him - he contacted me regarding this and I believe answered to your concerns - let's leave it at that.

To respond to this concern directly - during all classes that I recently held at Lytle Creek, we used the full range time from 8:00 to 16:00 - in fact, the range officer came over to remind us that our time would be up soon.

If anyone has any questions or concerns, I'll be glad to answer them.

        Regards,

        Uli Gebhard

Since I took the Suarez Close Range Gunfighting course I emailed them at info@suarezinternational.com to let them know that we knocked off early and that there was more material on the "Suarez Close Range Gunfighting DVD" that could have been covered since we had time. That's all.

Sounds like the situation has been resolved. Good to know. Appreciated your attentive instruction.

Fair enough - For those interested, list of courses that I have currently scheduled for this year is is here:

            2011 Classes are listed here

I'm still waiting for confirmation of more range dates for Bakersfield and I will be teaching a combat skills week in the Sacramento Area towards the end of April 2011. Those listings should go up fairly soon, hopefully within the next week so that you can still take advantage of the 20% discount that Suarez International is offering for the 2011 Staff Instructor Classes.
