glock 34

any feedback on a glock 34 for ipsc competition?.. thanks..

Its one of the top choices for Production, I shoot one. All you need are good sights and maybe a lightened striker spring, a decent holster, 5 mag pouches and 6 mags, a boat load of 9 and you're good to go!

Cheapest way in. I shot my g34 for about a year but I am going to try single stack 1911 now. The g34 is a super fast and easy gun to shoot.

If you are talking true IPSC, it is useless in Production since IPSC took it off of their approved list. If you are talking USPSA (which is what we mainly shoot here) then yes, it is one of the better platforms for production or L10-minor. With standard cap mags, Limited Minor or build it out to an Open-Major platform. I blame the use of TMC's G34 for bumping me to Prod-B

how about the glock 17 compensated? would it be as good as the 34 in competition? any difference on the feel? thanks...

All the 'C' models throw you into Open.

The 17 is a good production model, but like Berkim said, if you get the compensationed 17, you may as well outfit it for open since that's all you can use it for.
