David, thank you for such a detailed AAR of the first day of training. Nice job on the photos and I am sure Oddjob is loving the belly picture.... But, in his defense, even when we were down range he has had it.... I think it is a genetic thing.
I just wanted to clarify a couple of points.
As far as Hollywood goes, yes, he has been assisting with MagPul Dynamics courses when instructors are needed. However, up to this point, Hollywood has not be officially vetted by Costa or Travis, yet. Hollywood is planning are participating in some events that are coming up soon. But, right now he is only filling in on a as needed basis.
Secondly, as far as the CQB portion goes, FALCON does not believe in disclosing our tactics to the public. Thus, that is why we offer courses tailored specifically for Law Enforcement and Military type units. Disclosing our tactics would only leave us and our brothers/sisters exposed to a greater potential of harm when operating in the filed.
The CQB portion was a FAM focused on the fundamentals of room clearing. As we have mentioned before, you can spend months training on CQB based on your specific teams TTP or SOP.
We will be running this course again in September as we are offering a TAC II course at the end of each month for either pistol or rifle. We welcome you calgunners to come and try us out. No egos, no BS. We believe in a steady progression of stress induced training as this type of training helps solidify the fundamentals. However, at any point during training if we see a student not grasping the fundamentals / concepts that we are laying down then we will focus on bringing you up to speed as we believe in not leaving anyone behind. This is why we have a min of 2-3 instructors for each course. FALCON is not trying to maximize a profit as much as we are focused on a delivering a quality product to you the student.
I hope this was not long winded.
Stay safe, train hard, maintain focus as only the strongest will survive.
Regards,
FALCON Training Staff
PS- if there are any run on sentences I apologize as I just had surgery.Comment
