Tactical handgun match in Corona July 3rd

The monthly Tactical Handgun match at Corona Gun Club will be Saturday July 3rd. We will begin at 6:00 Pm. I know we usually do it on Sunday morning, but due to the Holiday we have re-scheduled it so we can do the family thing on the fourth. There WILL be a night shoot following the day match so bring your weapon mounted lights and or flashlights. Your one entry fee gets you both. This is a great way to start out in competition as it is a very beginner friendly match. Bring any centerfire handgun, holster, 2 ammo carriers and three mags or speed loaders and 150 rounds of non magnum, non hollowpoint ammo. Cost is $15.00. For more info and directions Pm myself or CSCTactical or go to www.coronasportsmensclub.com. Bring a cooler with drinks and stuff. Hope to see you there! PM me for information and directions or if you just have a question.

Remember, the same $15.00 entry fee gets you both day and night shoots so don't forget those flashlights and weapon lights. Just bring a holster that fits your gun with the light attached. Handheld lights, no worries.

From what I read, the DAY match starts at 6:00pm (1800) and the night shoot starts after the shoot.

Sunset is at about 8:15 (2015) so that should be plenty of time for day shoot only shooters (hopefully) I would expect a less than normal turnout due to the holiday. I'll be there for the day shoot, I might even bring my cheapie tac-light LED from WalMarx for a night shoot.

Hopefully some of the guys I work with will try the night shoot.

Why do pharmaceutical company laboratories now use lawyers rather than lab rats for testing?
Lab personnel don't get as emotionally attached to lawyers. Lawyers do things rats won't.
Animal protection groups don't get nearly as excited.
          Some people actually LIKE rats.

I might actually be able to make this. I don't have a holster for my M&P with mounted weaponlight though. Oh well.

Do I need to bring 150 rounds total or 150 rounds per course?

I would think 150 rounds per course. Plus, it never hurts to bring extra.

It's usually 18 rounds per course (3 mags of 6 rounds) and they usually do 5 or 6 courses. You will be glad that you didn't spend too much ammo.

150 total should do it. You can bring more if you think your going to miss a lot!!!!!!

This is a great match to start out in. Bring the Wife's, kids Girlfriends etc etc. This is a great place to introduce them to the sport.
