Competitions in the East Bay

I'm home for the summer and I want to start getting into competition shooting. The only time I've competed was a .22lr steel match down in San Luis Obispo and it was a ton of fun. What competitions are there in the East Bay area?

.22 matches, distance shoots, 3 gun, etc.

Review the sites for Richmond Rod & Gun and Chabot for their respective match schedules. Both ranges have a good variety of matches for the remainder of the year.

Chabot has tac rifle/pistol and 3 gun. I dont know if one .22 match will get you into a 3 gun match or if you even have the gear. But check out the webpages of Chabot, Richmond and Concord gun ranges.

There's always Coyote Point Rifle & Pistol for .22. You have a choice of Bullseye or Silhouette. However, the range is in San Mateo, not the East Bay, so I'm not sure how far you want to travel on the freeway.

If you become a member of Diablo Rod & Gun Club in Concord you can shoot the Wednesday night steel challenge matches. If you take the new shooter orientation you can shoot the monthhly IPSC and IDPA matches.
