FYI: There is a High Power Across the Course match this Sunday (02/18) at the West End Gun Club. The actual distances are 200, 300, and 550. From what I understand, the 550 vs 600 yard differences is only half a minute for most rifles/loads.
I've shot at the West End range before, but not in the High Power XTC matches they hold. I was on my way to the WEGC XTC match last month, but diverted to my club after I realized the wind was too high (and they cancelled the match).
Anyway, the weather should be good this Sunday.
The match is not NRA sanctioned, but gives a great opportunity to shoot XTC and get some practice.
