3 day defensive handgun class. first 1/2 day was lecture from Clint Smith on mind set and a few words on basics (front sight, press).
Right after that we walk up the hill to the range deck and start shooting. First day was beautiful weather. Worked on trigger control and my "gophering" the sights (peeking around to see where my shot went).
Next day was work on the failures to feed that can happen and how to clear them fast. Clint is not big on tactical loads, but, did show us how to do them and do them right, so the gun is not in single shot mode too long. The target that day was a negative target with holes in the A and B zone. If you shot well, there should be no extra holes. Weather was cold with rain and a few snow flakes.
Final day was the shoot house with two trips, one with light and one with your flashlight. The targets are held up with magnets. You have to hit them in the right spot for the target to fall. Took me a few tries to hit them in the right spot.
8.5 hour drive from San Jose to Lakeview, OR. I recommend the class to everyone. Most of the other students were signing up for more classes next year.
