    Just shot my first match

happened to be an IDPA classifier

ESP (9mm Combat Commander ran well)

    Overall score - 175.86 = Marksman

    38.68 short of Sharpshooter.

they inverted the stages and began with stage 3

    3 - 67.89

    2 - 41.92

    1 - 66.05

I started strong, shot accurately and didn't rush.
    Shot well on stage 2.
But in spite of what I knew in advance and reviewed on my notecard, I still managed to rush and miss head shots on Stage 1. What was up with that??

I knew better and was disappointed with blowing what should have been my best stage.
    Strange how that happens.

Guys at the match were super good people and put up with all my noob questions and antics.

I know I can shoot much better than Sharpshooter, and can't wait to shoot again.

Really enjoyed my first IDPA match.

Congratulations, glad you had fun, I shot an USPSA match this morning and met my old friend "Mike" three or four times.

When they were scoring my targets they would say 2 A's, 2 C's 1 D, 1 Mike, Ouch!

It's called "timer virus". You know how well you can shoot but the second that timer starts it throws you completely out of whack. I get it bad.

surprised the heck out of me when I realized my hands were shaking when loading a mag between strings

Yeah, tell me about it. Shot an IDPA match today. I am usually better with a revolver than most semi-auto competitors when shooting casually.

Had a ton of problems. Moon clips locked up the cylinder, misfires because my stupid Hornady LnL AP won't seat primers below flush (fixed that tonight with a spent primer stuck under the primer ram, will try to JB weld something there long term). Need a drink and more practice under pressure.

Mike visited me a couple times today. I never appreciate his company. His side-kick, No-Shoot made one appearance, too...
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.

Yup. It's amazing how the plan goes out the window when the timer goes off and the adrenaline kicks in!!

I've never had that problem with my Lee turret press. Or Lee dies.
