Basic Techniques Handgun 2 Day Class in Fresno, Calif.

I with Brad Holt are putting on a 2 Day Handgun class here in Fresno Calif at the Peace Officers Range.

This class in my opinion is unique in the regard its focus is on techniques for the fundamentals of shooting.
The round count is low, in an effort to make it less expensive for those in this challenging economy. If you want to shoot more, both Brad and I can come up with means to raise your individual round count.
We are both encouraging Gas Blow backs if you so desire. Then the cost for ammo drops very, very low.

Both Brad and I want to equip you with a strong foundation in the techniques used commonly in competition pistol shooting. These same techniques would also serve you very well in the defensive use of a handgun.
If you are looking to develop your current level of handgun use, learn a more formal way that encourages simplicity and speed with a handgun, or looking to attend your first class, we hope you will consider us.

We will be shooting at the Peace Officers Range. Grass covered shooting lanes, located right next to the San Joaquin River. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

We will only be taking 10. This will allow us the most time to be attentive to your individual needs.

Its my hope to video record you shooting the skills test that you will be taking at the Start and end of each day.
The disc will be yours to keep.

All the above for $150.00 per shooter for both days. $15.00 extra for range fees each day.

    Traning event

Is this class a one time event or will be taught in the future? If I am a member of the peace officers range will I have to pay the range fee? Did Matt previously own a gun shop in Fresno?

      Yes, I did.
No, if you are a member, there would be no additional fees.

I ran this class once before by myself. I will have Brad joining me this time. The hope is that for the more advanced shooters, can go with Brad.

I personally love the spirit of this type of class.
We want you to have a developed sense of the basics of shooting a handgun, so that you can insure to practice properly.

If you are a guy/gal who likes high round count, more tactical classes, then there are plenty who offer that.
Dont get me wrong, I like that stuff too. I designed this class to more address what I see 98% of the time in shooters.
They have difficulty in understanding what shooting platform, grip, presentation, that they use. They just know that this is what they use to shoot.
I am hopeful that there are some of you out there who want to understand why one method is better then another.
Through your own understanding, you will be better equipped to help yourself and others quite possibly.
