So everyone got a new Glock for Christmas right? What better way to break it in than at a GSSF match? Come to our match in a few weeks and start the new year right!

The weather in Boulder City can be unpredictable this time of year so I would plan for everything from warm and sunny to cold and raining. Dress in layers and bring some rain gear just in case. Remember GSSF shoots rain or shine and only shuts down for lightning. Bring eye and ear protection and I would suggest a hat as well. Bring your Glock handgun, at least 4 magazines and I recommend 150 rounds per division you are shooting in case of a reshoot or something. I would encourage all of you to shoot at least 2 divisions if it is your first time. The first one is where you figure out what you are doing so you can improve on the second one! LOL! Also, there will be a Glock Armorer on site all weekend so you can have your Glocks inspected and repaired if needed. If you are shooting I would encourage you to pre-register here- GSSF . Membership is $35.00/year and it is $30.00 for each division you wish to shoot.

I hope to see you on the range! And Happy New Year!

Here we are just a few days away. The weather is looking awesome with temps in the high 50's-low 60's and sunny with a light breeze. I am usually in a T-shirt at the range in those conditions! We have a full staff of volunteers and all the equipment is ready to go. As a reminder bring eye and ear protection and I would suggest a hat as well. Water, snacks and a chair if you need one. Bring your Glock handgun, at least 4 magazines and I recommend 150 rounds per division you are shooting in case of a reshoot or something. I would encourage all of you to shoot at least 2 divisions if it is your first time. Also, there will be a Glock Armorer on site all weekend so you can have your Glocks inspected and repaired if needed. If you are shooting I would encourage you to pre-register here- GSSF . You may also register onsite from 9am-2pm each day. Membership is $35.00/year and it is $30.00 for each division you wish to shoot.

Also, Las Vegas Practical Shooting Club will be holding our monthly IDPA match on Sunday so if you would like to try a double header you can register here- https://practiscore.com/las-vegas-pr...match/register

I hope to see you on the range!

The 2024 LVPSC GSSF Gamblers Challenge is done and went beyond my wildest expectations. We ran 383 entries over the 3 day match weekend. Wait times were short and we only had 1 minor disaster that happened at the right time when the 1 plate rack broke down. I am just glad that did not happen on Saturday! By all reports all of the shooters were very happy with how the match ran and how they were treated by the RO?s. It was also a good learning experience for all of us I think. I know it was for me. And the weather? Could we have had a more perfect weekend for a shooting match? Temps in the 60s and sunny.

I would like to single out a couple of people here. My Assistant Match Director Andy Dvirnak and Billie Hillier that handled the logistics and helped assemble the best staff of volunteers I could ever hope to work with. Also, Billie, Berni Gordanier and Joanne Ho that handled the food for the match. That was some damn fine range food! Heck, any kind of food for that matter!

I would also like to thank Tom Panagos the runs the Las Vegas Practical Shooting Club for providing the equipment we used to setup and run the match and his overwhelming support. LVPSC runs some great IDPA, Steel Challenge and Practical Rifle matches and if you are ever in the Las Vegas area or are local I would invite you to come out and try one.

Also, Scott Leonard and Jim Cruse from Boulder Rifle Pistol Club for their support and providing a first class shooting facility for our match. Jim was the reason for a lot of the amenities we had like the extra conex for storage and the pump sink.
