Hey folks, I have a few questions for yall.
As some of you may know, I am in the process of building-up a POF P-415 for 3-gun shooting. Specifically, for the TACTICAL division. I am going to place an Accupoint TR24 3G onto my mamacita. (1 - 4x variable scope).
I was told that for the TACTICAL division, I could only use one scope on my weapon to keep me in this division. If I added a red dot (or something else), I could not shoot in the TACTICAL division, and I would have to move up into open or unlimited. (Or something like that).
Which brings me to one of my questions: When I was at the Richmond Rifle Championships on the 2nd of August, something was brought to my attention. There was a shooter with a variable scope mounted onto his weapon...but he also had a small iron sight mounted at the 1:00 O'Clock position at the foreward-most portion of his handguard. (Nearest the end of the barrel).
This iron sight had a front and rear sight, and I would guess was no longer than 4" or 5" inches long.
From what I was told, this was allowable in the TACTICAL division.
I would like to know:
1) Who makes these iron sights?
2) Do they take a special mount or base? (I cannot remember the set-up I saw at the match).
3) Am I correct in saying that this is allowable in the TACTICAL division?
4) Does anyone have a picture, or a link they can direct me to?
5) What does something like this cost?
6) Can they be mounted onto a POF Predator handguard?
Sorry about all the questions, but I have been meaning to ask yall this for a while now, but keep on forgetting.
Thanks.
