Bullet Button spoted at Camp Perry

So my bro-inlaw is on the Marine summer team and said the CA Grizzlys (California youth team) was there. They placed first last year and are doing well this year.

He said he noticed them doing mag changes with bullet buttons. Thought it was pretty cool!

BTW, SGT Andrews picked up his medal yesterday and it was enough to make him "Distinguished" He wont have to qualify anymore as a Marine and he gets to sport the MC shooting team sticker and new badge on his uniform. He wanted to make the ful time team but was given orders back to the fleet a couple of months ago so 1/1 will be seeing him in a month or so.

Marine Corps Distinguished is harder to earn than civilian Distinguished due to the fact that they are required to obtain 10 of their 30 EIC points in Marine Corps LEG matches. And Marine Corps matches are basically Divisionals, which only happen once a year. There are cases where Marine shooters have over 30 EIC points, but aren't distinguished because 10 of those aren't from Marine Corp LEG matches.

Bullet button magazine changes for the rapid fire stages isn't difficult. Sample video of a CA Grizzlies team member from earlier this year (jump to 3:48 minute mark for rapid fire string):
