Looking for Basic Firearm Training in the San Bernardino area

I have a nephew who lives in Redlands and is interested in getting some basic firearm training before he picks up a rifle. Is there a good training facility in the San Bernardino area that could give him basic firearm training? He doesn't need any tactical/self defense work for now, just something to get him familiar with handling firearms. If I was close by I would work with him, but finding a good place local to him would help move things along faster.

    TIA

Route 66 firing range is a great place. Not sure how much they charge for training. I live near Redlands and that's where I usually go. I was just there Tuesday to requalify for my ccw.

Hell, if he pays for the ammo I might take him and teach basic FA safety.

Another vote for the training classes at the Route 66 Shooting Sports Park.

Once he's familiar have him pick up a 10/22 and get himself to an Appleseed event to learn how to shoot it.

Yet another vote for Route 66. I also live in Redlands.

Before I got my CCW, I did their Core CCW and Low Light Pistol courses. Caleb is great. I've also done their Tactical Carbine course.

For your nephew, it sounds like the Pistol Marksmanship course would be a good place to start.

Another option is Lytle Creek Firing Line...I did Practical Pistol Level 1 and 2 courses there a number of years ago and thought it was good. Level 1 was definitely geared towards beginners, if I recall correctly.

Darren @ 5 Arrows Tactical is who vplaza96 is referring to. I took his level 1 defensive pistol and level 1 carbine classes and had a great experience. These two courses are NOT geared toward brand new shooters as you need to bring your own firearms.

                Saturday, June 24 9:00am Beginning Pistol & Shotgun Class - $180 - Lytle Creek:

The above Beginner Pistol and Shotgun class seems good for your nephew. The description says firearms and ammo are provided.

I also took multiple classes with Stan Lee (St. Crispian's) who does training out of Burro Canyon but he appears to be inactive now.
