I was up at the Reno Gun show this weekend (25 & 26 July), and meet an individual from Sayeret Training Group. Was wondering if anyone had any dealings or training from them? Classes seemed affordable.

Bump.
Anyone, any experiance? Thanks -
Who?
Scarney, I tried to do a search for them and came up with nothing. That should be a first sign. I would do a little more research before accepting training from an unknown source or credentials. I also believe a three day class for $300 dollars sounds to good to be true. I would stick with training programs that have feed back sich as Magpul, Stone Cobra, LMS, Black Water, ect... Good luck!Comment

Stone Cobra,
Alot of classes offered by the big Tactics companies are highly inflated.. there are many good operators out there that have started their own company and are taking minute steps to get rolling. For $300 on a 3 day class is no different than a $140 2 day class at Front Sight (with coupon of course).Comment

I have no knowledge of the group you were asking about.
I do feel that its great that you are looking for some type of formal training. I dont think that any one group or individual should be expected to be the last word on what makes great training.
Through attending various courses, can you then have a much better overall sense of the advantages of one over another.
Its my sense the most important issue for anyone attending instruction, is thier sense of the importance of safety, and the types of drills that they do.
I find that many students simply can not make these other "Big Name" options happen. For a variety of dynamics.
Start with some local guys/gals whatever. Get a taste, but safely.
Its also my sense just about any training, whatever the price, and done safely, will be a positive step for your exploration into safe weapon handaling, and developing skills.
Good job for just asking questions.Comment
