CZ SP01 modifications

Hoping I can get help from all the CZ gurus on this forum

Trying to figure if it?s worth it
I?d like to use my sp01 for carry optics but still want to use my stock slide for production so I?d hate to mill my factory slide

And someone offered me a deal on a 75SA slide

Is this compatible with each other? And legal to use on a sp01 frame?

why not simply get 2 guns? one with the slide milled for a RDO and another untouched (for Production).

The SA slide is compatible with the SP01 frame.

Instead of a whole new slide, maybe just add an RDO mount to the stock slide? EGW makes a plate that fits the dovetail of the rear sight of the SP01.

Yes, that is actually what Im using now, an SA slide on the Sp01, works like a charm. I use the SA slide and barrel though from the CZ 75 SA as I think the SP01 barrel is slightly thicker. So hopefully yours comes with the barrel.

If you had a gun that is convertible from optics to irons and back. You know you always have to zero in the gun everytime you switch. IYou would have to use 2 slides to get around this. But this option is expensive. A new complete slide will cost you as much as another gun. So the better option is get 2 guns. One with optics and the other with irons. Production division and carry optics uses the same stages. So it does not really matter if you use irons or optics yeah? Unles you are a serious player. As for me, I have two guns. An SP01 Shadow with Optics and a regular SP01 with iron sights.

Check with Cajun Gun Works. They occasionally get extra SP01 slides from CZ. You can have CGW mill them for whatever optic you choose before they ship them to you. I have two of them milled for Deltapoint Pros. You can go from Production to Carry Optics, or vice versa, with the same gun in less than a minute.

Yes, that is actually what Im using now, an SA slide on the Sp01, works like a charm. I use the SA slide and barrel though from the CZ 75 SA as I think the SP01 barrel is slightly thicker. So hopefully yours comes with the barrel.
