Hey folks,

I have a few more questions that need clarification, as I have received multiple responses:

1) If I am using my Nighthawk Predator (w/bushingless bull barrel and modified thumb rest), what class can I compete in? An RO told me that just having the bushingless bull barrel placed me in OPEN class.

2) If I were to shoot TACTICAL 3-gun, can I use the above Nighthawk Predator with the modified thumb rest?

And for your information, the thumbrest has been modified and has a very low profile. (If you look at the below pix, you will see that it is almost flush with the thumb safety).

I think that you're stuck in Open class.

Limited, Production and Single Stack classes all say:

Prohibited modifications
External modifications or features such as weights or devices to
control or reduce recoil (such as but not limited to thumb rests or
components which could be used as such).

In Richmond, yes because they use USPSA rules. In Chabot's 3-gun any safe weapon configuration is allowed.
