You guys get the hit factor reference right? IDPA uses the simplest form of scoring.

Time plus, it's your straight time, plus any seconds added for not hitting the A zone.

The targets are actually all one color, tan. And I'm not sure why it says -1, -3. It's actually +1 and +3.

USPSA uses a simple form of scoring, similar to a 23 step brass wet tumbling process

That one stage the shooter kind of air gunned it before shooting and it looked like 3 positions all out in the open with no cover/fault lines used.

You can have a stage with up to 6 rounds in the open with no cover required. A single stage can have multiple arrays this way also. As for the airgunning I thought he was pointing at targets asking the SO a question.

Nearly everytime I've seen stages where you shoot in the open it's at the start position. Rarely there have been targets you shoot in the open while moving from one shooting position to the next. I don't think I've seen one where you shoot 3 different arrays all in the open.

Even pointing at one set of targets then pointing at another set of targets has been considered airgunning where I've shot. But I rarely shoot IDPA any more.

No, the big dogs were down in Tucson at the state champ. This was an IDPA friendly match at Phoenix Rod And Gun Club.

The only reason I shot it was my buddy was the match director, because the real MD was in Tucson.

Most of us are USPSA shooters, and my buddy's don't care for all the "range lawyers" in IDPA. Me, I just wanted to pull the trigger.

OK, just wondering because your cover garment wasn't...😎😂

That wasn't me, and one stage didn't have the cover garment requirement. As I said, it was an IDPA-lite match.
