    Raahouges Shooting Range

Hey guys, I would like to check out this range but i hear the wait can be up to a few hours during the weekend.

For all you regulars out there How early do they let you arrive so you can almost guarantee a spot on the rifle range when they open up ?

I never have to wait for rifle range. I usually went for early morning and late afternoon.
For pistol range I would be there at least half hour before them open. And after pistol you go for rifle.

And to clarify since I have never been there , when you get there you get assigned one of the 15 private rifle bays right ? And have a maximum of 2hrs at the bay ?

You should do the release form online at home, so you can save sometime. After check in, the range officer at waiting spot will assign your a bay.
For the pistol bay there will be 2hours limit, however if you go late afternoon and nobody waiting you can get more time. Same as rifle range.

If you first time there, I would get steel bay tickets too.

There are two Raahauge's, one up north, one down south.

The one in Corona opens at 8:00, I get there by 7:30 on weekdays, 7:15 on weekends.

During the week afternoons are better. Show up after 1:00.

P.S. The rifle range is usually wide open, it's the bays you have to wait for.

Just go during the week. Before my Safari I was going about twice a week around 10AM asking for bays. Never had to wait.

Not a fan. Busy as hell, rude staff (except Johnny, he's friggin awesome) and youre limited on time. I dont shoot shotgun, but their skeet/trap area looks nice. Drive to Angeles in Sylmar. 600 yard rifle range, 100 yard pistol range with steel, shotgun and rimfire ranges- all for $20 all day.

It is Sporting Clays not skeet/trap and yes it is nice. I never had an issue with the staff at the rifle side, they have been courteous and helpful.
Angeles might be less expensive but would cost me $50+ in gas, not to mention about 2 hours each way.
