I read about a verbal altercation at a recent match.

There have been a few occurrences of poor conduct on his part that has put the organization in a bad light. The last straw was a verbal altercation at LOCAP Nationals this past May

There have been "rumors" about his social media meltdowns and verbal abuse for more than a few years.

There is tons of actual info out there, but the gist of it stems from Lo-Cap Nationals this year. The pres got into an argument with a shooter in front of a sponsor. After a few f bombs said they should settle it with their fists. The shooter has a podcast and also posted a letter on social media. People took it from there and the board called for an investigation. The results came back that the "facts" were pretty much what had been said. The board voted to have him removed. Now, the VP, the area director for area 3 is the acting Pres until a special election.

At the time, a shooter named Ben Berry posted a comment about how cool production 15 would be after shooting limited minor in a match. He referenced Mike and the USPSA in the post and said it would never happen because Mike hated IPSC. At the time, Mike was in Europe at some meetings with IPSC. Mike took issue with it and gave Ben Berry some crap. Ben Berry told Ben Stoeger and Ben S, blew it up. Mike threatened, both Ben's with a lifetime ban. It should be noted at the time, Ben S was the national champ. It all played out on various social media platforms. The result was neither was banned and Mike had to get anger management training.

Well, judging from the Locap Nats incident that training paid off! 🤦*♂️😂
