NRA Instructor training SoCal

I am looking into becoming an NRA certified instructor. I went to NRA and have sent out some email inquiries but I can not find what is actually required and who offers certification (not just courses)? I would like to go the pistol route and work through step by step.

Anyone done this or know of someone who offers the courses in N SD or S OC?

+1 on TJ... I have rifle/pistol certs. from his classes... my wife a bunch more... very satisfied... and he's a nice guy..
