Have a friend that wants to get into shooting but you don't have the time to teach them? Are you that friend? If so, First Steps Basic Pistol is the perfect course to get started.
The Combined First Steps and Basic Pistol class is designed for students who are complete beginners to the principles of safely handling, maintaining, and firing a handgun. Over the course of an eight hour day, our friendly instructors will combine classroom and range time to establish good habits and proper fundamentals such as:
*Range and home safety rules.
*Proper procedure for loading/unloading, cleaning, storage, and transportation of a firearm/ammunition.
*Basics of sight alignment, as well as grip, stance, breathing, and trigger control.
*Refinement of accuracy, and how to self-improve when shooting groups at various distances.
*Alternative firing positions.
*Rapid fire for those who are ready.
This program has at its core a time-tested NRA certified curriculum, and will serve to establish a solid groundwork of technique and knowledge for new or prospective handgun owners. Students completing the course will be entitled to receive a certificate indicating their achievement (NRA First Steps + NRA Basic Pistol).
