    Woman Only training classes recommendations?

Besides ITTS, Allsafe, and Tacfire, is there anyone else in the general So Cal area offering woman only training classes?

Someone I know is interested and ITTS has no classes on their 2009 schedule and tacfire already held their class for this year.

Any schools I'm missing? These three are the only ones I could find via internet searching.

    Any help would be appreciated.

You might try Front Sight they might have them. Give Oaktree a call ask for Gene he might be able to help you. wwwfirearmstraining.com in Burro Canyon.

Or PM Prowler he's taken many women only classes. Or at least he shoots like he did.

It would be to your friends advantage to search out good training rather than focus on women only.
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.

The NRA offers Women on Target shooting clinics. Firearms Training Associates (at Raahauge's in Corona) has a women's pistol and self-defense class.

That's what I suggested. However, if an all woman's class is what it takes to get someone through the door, then I'm not going to argue, if it means they wouldn't be attending a class otherwise.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll check them out.

Look at www.babeswithbullets.com. I sent my wife. (A dedicated NON shooter) Actually, I blackmailed her into going to the Woman's Action Shooting Camp in Tucson last month. Best $475 I ever spent. This is a Woman's only camp, sponsored by S&W and taught by MULTI-NATIONAL FEMALE CHAMPIONS; Kay Miculek, Julie Goloski, Lisa Munson, Judy Woolley, Sheila Brey.

She came back completely transformed into a dedicated pistol shooter and she's 57. We shoot local matches, IDPA and USPSA couple times a month

If you know a lady that is reluctant or anti gun. Send her to one of their camps. Be advised, when the camps are announced, 4-6 months in advance, they sell out quickly.

Guy's it is well worth it!! At least it was for me!!

If you have enough friends or can find interested parties on here you can probably have a women's only class run for you. Many trainers will arrange a class if you can fill 10 spots.
If it was a snake, it would have bit me.

NRA Basic Pistol Course "Ladies Only" Session 5/23/09

I'm new to the Calguns.net forum. I don't usually have time to post on forums but wanted to reply to this post.
We are holding a "Ladies Only" NRA Basic Pistol Class on Saturday May 23rd. It is an all day class and is the same as the co-ed class but this one will have a bit less testosterone.

The NRA Basic Pistol course enables the participant to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to safely handle a pistol/revolver. The course emphasizes safety and the basic fundamentals of shooting including grip, aiming, sight picture control, trigger squeeze and follow through. Students will learn how to identify different types of handguns and how each type functions. A supervised and coached live fire exercise ensures students properly grasp all learning objectives. Ammunition and low recoil pistols are provided. We also near the end of the live fire portion of the class offer a "Tasters Choice" opprotunity to try several styles and calibers of handguns giving an opportunity to find out what type of handgun they may like to purchase.

We have our own facility in the Lake Matthews Area of Riverside and conduct group courses on the weekends, and other sessions by appointment. I will schedule a class Tuesday - Friday as an individual coaching session (by the Hour) or even a small group (2+). We have an onsite Public Access Archery and Air Gun Range. The Firearms Live Fire Range we have access to is only usable during a class. We are getting ready to install our own FireArms Training Simulator System which will be open to the public.

              Chris
