    Very Special Match

INTRODUCING THE SSA ANNUAL "ALL AROUND CHAMPIONSHIP" DEC 3. 2006 NORCO CA.

This is one I've been dreaming up for a long time now. Here's a match to test your shooting and organizational skills with the" Whole GUN SAFE" OR MAYBE JUSTIFY (Building or buying) THAT NEXT GUN......

"The SSA "ALL AROUND CHAMPIONSHIP'' The match will be about "SKILL" with "Guns", Accuracy and Speed not your 440 yd times. All stages will be fat boy and handicap friendly. Minimal movement. All stages will be designed by" Mr Twisted" so some of you know what that will mean. At present it will be 8 stages. Match fee $ 60 SSAGC and presign ups before 11/ 20 $50 dollars. Only a limited number (50)of slots will be available so sign up ASAP. There will be a large perpetual trophy and stage trophies given out.

It's looking to require 8-12 different guns (many stages may be shot with the same gun) in 4-10 calibers( 22 Lr, 223,12 or 20 guage, 9mm,38super,40SW,380 auto ,38 special , 357 mag,45acp, 500 Mag & on and on), that's right check out the proposed match, it will have around 250 rds required.. YOU DON'T HAVE TO OWN ALL THE GUNS, do'nt worry" Loaner guns" will be available for any of the stages but you'll have to bring your own factory ammo. The match date will be Dec 3rd 2006 ,the match before the Xmas match So mark your calenders!!!

Stage 1 Shotgun 12 or 20 guage 1 gun req (24 targets) Bring at least 1 box of #7/12 game loads
Speaks for itself autoloader or pump (open)

Stage 2 22 caliber 22 long rifle 2 guns req (18 targets each)
Both 22 rifle and 22 pistol (open) Bring 50 rds of 22

Stage 3 Freedom Rifles 2guns req ( 50 rds total)
    Ar-15s or Mini 14s (223 ) (30rds)
Car-9s (pistol calibers) (20 rds) bring 50 rds of 9mm if you need a loaner

Stage 4 Compact Pistols (2-3.46 inch) 2 guns req
    Snubnose Revolvers ( 38 special min) J,K, L.& N frames ( (12 rds)
    Sub Compacts (3.46"Go rod will be used) ( (380 & up) (18rds)

Stage 5 Action Revolvers (open) 1 gun req (38 Special,,9mm,38 super,45acp) (18 rds) +1 Last shot will be fired from the SSAGC 500 S&W Mag (500 ammo supplied)

Stage 6 " Personal Carry" 1 gun req ( we all have that special conceal carry gun, bring conceal holster also a windbreaker or overcovering.
These are for actual carry and CCW registered weapons and IDPA weapons . Guns may be used in another stage but must be CCW qualified or on your CCW permit. Ammo to be used for this stage ,will be whatever you carry in the gun all the time, no reloads, factory only rapid expansion ammo example Winchester Silvertips and Federal Hydroshocks, Glasers. Less than (20rds)req

Stage 7 Action pistol (SSA Style) 2 guns req
open class or limited guns 9mm & up any capacity (20rds)

"Box Stock Class" ZERO modifications Trigger jobs included, Factory unmodified triggers are OK (20 rds)

Stage 8 "Classic Single Stack 45 1911s" All to be in limited to stock condition, no optic and no comps or porting. Classic !!!!! This gun may be used in many other stages as well. 7 & 8 rd mags only with factory 230 gr hardball," No reloaded ammo"s for this stage. The SSA will supply the hardball unless you prefer your own brand of ammo. This stage should be as " Pure" as we can make it... 16 rds provided 15 targets will be set.

The ammo amounts are approximate so plan accordingly.

The match will be a combination of steel and paper requiring at least 4-10 calibers, lots of rounds and a BIG ********** wagon to carry all of it..... Looks like we have one he11 of a match boys and girls.

NOTE Many of the stages can be shot with the same gun, if it fits the criteria for that stage. For example a stock 1911 in 45 acp with a 22 conversion will work for stages 2,6,7,& 8

So whos in....More to come. Check this thread often for more info added with reqularity

    That is one crazy match.

I'd be nervous about keeping track of all my guns.

Thats what the wagon is for!!! Raahague's is a private range former home of the End of Trail and other big matches. Too my knowledge no-one has ever lost anything in the 20 years I've been running matchs

The most talked about consern is having to clean 10 guns after. It's going to be a match to talk about . Please come if only to watch.

Stage 6 is what I would worry about. I don't think CCW is common among pistol competitors in CA. It's funny, I have a rifle or pistol for each stage except for a CAR-9, snub-nose revolver, and 1911 pistol.

            Sounds like a blast!

I cannot get the page to load with the entry form can you email to tmc38s@comcast.ent and I have a couple of questions

With the exception of stages 6 & 8 that state iron sight/no optics, can our other guns have optics/red dots? shotguns and revolvers included? Does the word (open) mean open as I know it from USPSA?

            Stage 3, does a 9mm AR qualify as a Car-9?

CCW: mine is expired but my G19 was on it, is that ok?

Stage 7, I assume a USPSA open gun is ok?

Would my Springfield 1911 opertator w/light rail and Bomars be ok for Stage 8?

"Box Stock Class" ZERO modifications Trigger jobs included, Factory unmodified triggers are OK (20 rds)
            What does this appily to?

And last but not least, I assume we need holsters for all of these guns, correct?

            Thanks

            Todd
            where are my pistol mags?

              Answers for TMC

Yes the match will be a killer blast.....We'll send the registration forms via e-mail tonight.

Yes open class means open anything goes...

9 car portion of stage 3 is foir any pistol (centerfire) caliber rifle, ruger has a dandy one.

Your G 19 is fine but you need the proper ammo for this stage only everything else may be shot with reloads

Correct Uspsa open or any tricked out or less is ok. Some of our better shooters shot with production guns.

Yes the operator will work for both stage 7 (part 2 Box stock) and stage 8(Classic 1911)

No holsters are only required for the CCW stage, all others will have table briefcase. drawer, toolbox. glovebox etc starts. But if you want to wear your Open gun thats OK Too

We'll be glad to have you play with us.
