22 competition shooting

Im located in Long Beach and was wondering if anyone had heard of 22 rifle competitions occuring locally even down to SD? I went to the NRL 22 website and they wont be in CA this year. Or maybe they have and it passed. The closest match I have seen is in NV.

Depends on the type of 22 competition you want to do. Steel Challenge matches have divisions for rimfire.

Thanks Mazdaspeed Jon! Yeah, i see the a 2-gun competition. I am interested in only 22 rimfire rifle, if thats possible. Matches that are for semi-auto. I might be getting too specific but im new to the competition shooting arena. I dont have a 22 rimfire pistol at the moment.

i think there is a carbine match down in SD

found it. they run a steel match that allows .22lr rifles. they setup the course for centerfire and rimfire.

We shoot Steel Challenge using various calibers (yes Rimfire too) every 4th Saturday of the month.

Burbank Rifle and Revolver Club holds CMP Rimfire Sporter Matches a few times per year.

I believe Lief of ca-idpa-shooters runs a just for fun PCC match every 4th Sunday at Prado that allows rimfire.

los angeles rifle and revolver club runs proper 22 prone matches. No semi autos allowed though.
