Buck Doyle --> night fighter class

I was sent some info about an instructor named Buck Doyle.

He has an interesting bio but the promotional video really turned me off...

He seems to have given the last 25 years to fighting and training but lost the concept that civilians use firearms to defend themselves and their families millions and millions of times per year....

One of the best lessons I have ever learned in life is to shut up and listen, even if you think you know it, there may be another way, a better way or a more logical way. Bring all of it together to implement your own preferred method.

I took Buck's scoped carbine class last year along with a class full of civilians, it was exceptional training. I also knew Buck when he was still active duty. He is a former MARSOC Marine and highly respected within the special operations community, for good reason. He's also a Bronze Star recipient (With "V" for valor) which he received for dragging one of his team mates to safety after that Marine was hit by an enemy sniper. While doing so Buck was shot twice himself, one round almost severing his arm and resulting in the loss of 1.5" of arm bone.

I'm not sure what led you to your conclusion, but he is as 2A as they come and will happily train any law-abiding citizen. Keep in mind that this video was produced by TNVC and most likely focused at their law enforcement customer base. Buck may count on law enforcement to keep him and his family safe but I can assure you he also counts on himself and his family for the same.

His range is located near Capital Reef National Park in Utah and is shown in the video you linked -- and it's worth it to travel to him to just to get the experience of training there. But even if he was teaching at a local range I'd rate him as one of the top training experiences available.

On my must do list ...God's willing , plus imho, not that many MARSOC folks that I know of in the civilian training scene.
