    Frontsight Nevada

Does anyone have any information (preferably from experience) regarding Frontsight in Nevada? They seem to have some very interesting classes, but they are very pricy. I am just wondering if the classes and instructors are really worth the high prices.

If you buy a grey certificate off ebay, your first class will be less then $200. A four day class for $200 is very cheap.

Yeah, as above, my only advice would be that you should not be paying anywhere near ful price.

I would recommend them highly, especially if you can get a certificate and if you have no previous formal training experience. I've taken four classes there so far. Excellent instruction on the mechanics of shooting.

However, if you already have taken classes and are more interested in tactics, there are other institutions that specialize in incorporating that aspect as well as weapons handling, IMHO.

Have you checked out ADE classes? Their classes are great, the instructors are professional and they are close by in Inglewood. They also have classes out at Burro Canyon on the private shoot house range which is a lot of fun.

            Stay away from ADE.
Seriously!. Have you seen them train at Burro Canyon!.

Major safety violations. I would look elsewhere.
Their CQB videos are a joke!.
I can see how a "civilian" would be impressed if they dont know any better, but a "professional" would shy away.

ITTS, TFTT, etc would be a much better choice for vetted programs in CA.
Louis Awerbuck and Kyle Lamb/Viking Tactics, Magpul, LMS, Blackwater also have courses in CA.

You can find the training certificates for Front Sight on Ebay and Gunbroker going from $100 to $300 for 4-day classes.

However, see this forum for more info:

Oh Geez. I have no idea what kind of safety violation you are talking about, but in my experience with ADE safety has always come first. Unsafe gun handling or technique is not tolerated. Unsafe shooters are taken offline until they can demonstrate that they are safe and anyone who can not is asked not to return. I like living too much to tolerate shooting with people who are not safe gun handlers.

As for what they teach, you can see from their class descriptions that it is basically the same stuff as any of the other places that you mentioned. They are all based on Jeff Coopers techniques that he taught through API and Gunsite for decades.

That said, the Front Sight coupon is a great deal for a few days of shooting.

They seems to have good reputation. But at the same time, I can think of at least two good school in So Cal right off the bat.

                    Front Sight

I personally have been a member of Front Sight for some time now and I am extremely pleased with thier training. Ebay is a good place to start if you want to check them out, I did it this way initally, before buying a membership.

If you are interested in purchasing a membership your best bet is to contact a current member. Front sight offers upgrades to current members pretty regularly and sometimes in these upgrades they allow the existing member to keep thier old membership to sell or pass along to a shooting buddy. With that said understand that you can usually get a membership for a fraction of the posted cost on the website.
I believe in our rights under the 2nd Amendment and believe that all gun owners need training. Training not only makes gun ownership safe it also creates strong defenders of our rights. Are you interested in a lifetime of top notch firearms training from the very basics to the most advanced force on force tactical courses available for pennies on the dollar?

Please PM me about a Diamond, Legacy, Challenge, or Self Reliance Lifetime Memberships at Front Sight in Nevada.

I recently enrolled and participated in the 4 day defensive handgun course. i knew the basic fundamentals, however, this was a nice refresher course and it also opened my eyes to a few other key items.

def dont pay MSRP for the class and try to get a certificate instead. the first day or two, shy away from their persistent in-your-face marketing techniques and you'll be fine. the night shoot and house-clearing activities were really fun

                        Front Sight

I'm not sure why people assume Front Sight isn't for higher end tactical scenarios.... if you look at thier course schedules there are many higher level courses......

Keep in mind Front Sight has a full tunnel system below most of thier ranges that is used for some pretty cool simunitions classes for full on tactical scenarios.... a few of which the students get to take on the instructors for a full on underground war.

Besides the tunnel system they have quite a few different types of simulators to fight through some of which seem virtually impossible to conquer ALIVE!

I know I know... classes are very expensive but joining them on a lifetime membership really isn't very expensive if you get one through an existing member. Yes you'll have to upgrade a basic membership to get to the higher level tactical courses but again dont' think sticker price is necessary at all.

I am a Diamond Member but no way did I spend 100K on this crazy place... No where near even a quarter of that. Email me anytime you want more info about this place. I'm happy to help.

Lastly... I'm scheduled to go out to Front Sight for thier 4 Day Pratical Rifle Course on April 17-20th to get up to speed on my new AR so if anyone is interested in going let me know and we'll connect.
