I'm heading out to FS for two days of Precision Rifle in a private session & I'm posting this to find out if a couple Calguns members want to join me.
My schedule doesn't line up with anything else for the year, so I'm setting up a couple days that do. I attended PR1 for the first time last December & missed two shots that lost my DG- and it was close! But, I didn't know which distance I missed them from. A make-shift suppressor cover (i.e. shop rag) malfunction I think unknowingly caused a little drift.
That should be remedied this time around.
Anyway, the dates are in the middle of the week (June 15 & 16) and I really only want a small group. Maybe two others, plus a friend of mine that may or may not be able to join. If you have the time and maybe want to hit up that course again for a couple days, shoot a PM my way. I'm not asking for any $$, just someone to BS and chill with while having fun long-range plinking.
All the Front Sight prerequisites apply, obviously. I will only add you if you have taken the PR1 course within the last year or so and maybe just want some refinement- and of course another shot at the skills test. I don't want to waste everybody's time on a newcomer to this course. Have your gear setup and be ready to zero & get rolling. With just a few people in the course it should be really fun.
First morning: Zero & get some dope for the warmer temps and good feedback on body positioning or other simple things we may be overlooking. Plus, work on why we might be missing some shots.
Second morning: Verify zero & take the test without all the distractions so I can get the two shots I missed last year... back on target. Then, shoot some steel?
