    M&P Follower/Magazine Issues & Fix

In case any of you are experiencing issues with your M&P magazines not dropping free:

And they thought I was crazy!

I picked up the newer style followers with the large real estate for the slide lock to rest on and now my mags drop free on slide lock every time. I did notice that some of the good followers are stamped with a '1' and others are stamped with a '2'. The number didn't seem to make any difference as the overall dimensions were consistent.

As a side note: I do have some of the bad followers that would work some of the time. After seating an empty mag into a "slide forward" M&P I found that I could push the portion of the basepad that sticks out and hear the follower slipping off of the slide lock--basically, it sounded like a "click". That probably explains why some of my 10 rounders would sometimes drop at slide lock.

Glad the new followers fixed the issue you were having. I haven'd had ANY issues since I installed the right followers.
