    GSSF Prize scoring...confusing

OK, so I've read the GSSF rules and they state that for divisions like Competition, Unlimited, Heavy Metal, etc (anything but Civilian and Guardian), prizes are awarded separately in each division so that you're only competing against amateurs or masters.

When you look at the actual prizes from matches, it seems like in divisions like Unlimited, Heavy Metal, etc. the prizes are awarded with no distinction between the two.

How the heck does this work? I shot Subcompact, Heavy Metal, and Unlimited as an amateur, so am I competing for prizes against the pros (and nice job Team Calguns) or am I competing for prizes against the normal Joes?

    Thanks.

Never mind, see that Unlimited lumps both together. Thanks.

It also depends on how many of each show up. Less than 10 Amatuer's or Master's and only the top guy gets a prize. I have never won a gun in Major Sub despite winning that division 4 times because of that.

And thanks for the compliment, we try to have fun.
