    EIC attendance per year

What's the maximum I can compete in per year? Is it 4 matches per year for leg points? Does that include 4 rifle and 4 pistol?

Rulebook was changed for 2015, now you can do 5 EIC matches.

Rifle and Pistol EIC matches are independent of one another.

Interesting that they upped it from four to five per calendar year. I figured pistol needed the jumpstart, but the amount of Rifle badges issued per year seems to be steady.

There was a big discussion in the NM forum about the 2015 EIC rule change as well as giving out "achievement pins" (just like the CMP Games) for leg matches.

"discussion" is a nice way of saying "a pile of old men *****ing like someone had peed in their cheerios" Although I totally get where they are coming from.

Well now...why not give everybody a trophy just for participating. What a crock!Watering down the achievement of being a DR by going to 5 legs per year and giving people a pin, ohhh, ahhh!

              Ha Ha!

              C'mon dad!

When are you going to teach us young folks how to shoot a smooth bore Krag Jorgensen? 200 rapids in 58 seconds?

I'm sure that would make us better with the Service Rifle.

Every trophy is a trophy of personal excellence, it's not really a fixed thing. Thankfully the EIC is based on other competitors performances but you could "go Distinguished" by simply going to Puerto Rico once a year for four years and it would be much easier than trying to go distinguished by only shooting at Coalinga or Quantico. Some people win all their points at Perry, some people win most of their points at hard ranges with bad light. Some people win all their points with 77s across the course, some people shoot fancy expensive bullets.

It's a challenge that you make for yourself and you win your points for yourself, not for anyone else.
