    Need Colt .45 education

    Hello,

I just acquired a bunch of .45 Colt ammunition. I don't know if the ammo is a reload or original factory. I also would like to sell it since I don't have a .45, however, can someone please tell me what I have. Is it good ammo? Original stuff and worth selling to someone.

    God bless,
    Rick

Can't tell if new or old from pics it's not even an easy thing in person, I can tell you they seem to all have the same bullet and three different types of brass tell's me they are reloads. Not worth much really if you only have a few or a couple boxes Give them to a 45 shooter.

3 different head stamps as noted...I'd bet on reloads...probably not worth more than for someone that shoots 45Colt to break down..looks like it has some age on it as well from the discoloration around the rim in the first picture. Also it looks to have no roll crimp at all..just a taper crimp or no crimp...that would probably not be the case in factory lead projectile ammo which has a roll crimp as I recall...If you look at something like Magtech 250 grain lead ammo for sale on Google you can probably find a close up pic of what I know as a factory lead bullet load...with the roll crimp..

Looks like reloads to me because of the different casings but its hard to tell from the pic.

They are all reloads. Look at the brass in the bottom 1/8" - not compressed. Just like where a resizer stops.

How many do you have and where are you? I might be interested, but I would still pull them all.
