    45-70 using Hornady Leverevolution FTX bullets

    Is there a problem using 325 GR FTX bullets in standard 45-70 case and not the shorter Hornady cases? These would be for a Marlin 1895.

      Yes...your OAL becomes too long to feed.

      You can off course trim "std" cases.

      Note that many 45-70 dies don't play well with the shorter cases. Hornady cases are said to play well.
