    Load Question

I had a load for a certain rifle
    20" ar15 bull barrel
    69gn bullet (sierra matchking)
    23 grains of cfe223

this was giving me nice groups, did not shoot for for a while and last couple times that same load has not been grouping well any ideas whats going on?
I have been to the same spot where i was grouping nice so I don't think its atmospheric.

Awww misleading thread name. I though it was one of FP's "Big Basement Extravaganzas" with ether, rope, and all the party favors.

No powder will help with COPPER fouling,

And did you use a coper solvent or just some wizbang bore cleaner

Get some sweets and see if your patch don't come out blue

Well that's your problem right there... stop messing with your bore conditions and clean only after accuracy drops off.

Temperature can have an effect, resulting in pressure variations.

over cleaning is the single most common mistake. Stop worrying about the bore being shiny and start worrying about characterizing how it shoots when super clean vs various grades of dirty. I have a 223 rifle that prints ok with super clean but gets tighter and tighter groups until it gets to about 200 rounds fired, then holds tight until just north of 300 then it tells me it needs to be cleaned by opening up a bit. If you need a spreadsheet that will take care of the statistics work for you pm me.

ExtremeX gave you the best advice. Stop messing with your bore conditions.
