I've been loading 223 for a while with mostly tac or h335. A while back I picked up some 748 when supplies were scarce. I'm just wondering, does 748 burn as clean as tac and h335. I'll be shooting 223 out of a direct gas AR.

A little dirty, but nothing to get excited about. Sticks are generally cleaner. Isn't H335 a bit dirty too? ARs are all filthy animals anyways--keep it well-lubed and clean it...that's life. -
748 is great for the 223 and 308. Also works well in 30-06A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.
