You can start comparing prices online @ MidwayUSA, Cabela's, Dillon Precision, etc. Check w/ the locals at your shooting range, for tips & advice.
    Good Luck.
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.

Better than the cheapest IMO, 'bang-for-the buck' is a better way to spend $$. Starline brass for instance, isn't necessarily the cheapest but you'll likely get more reloads before needing to replace it. Similarly, saving $5 by getting el cheapo bullets that are about as accurate as a slingshot doesn't make much sense.
For me, even if I'm breaking even on price per round vs. factory, at least I know that my ammo will be consistent shot after shot and I've got the pride of having assembled it myself.

To address your question a little better, after some research I went with the starline brass (www.starlinebrass.com). Powder, primers and bullets often times you're better off to find a local supplier, as the shipping costs buying mailorder will more than offset the difference from buying retail.
      anyway.. that's my 2 cents.

Midway is often most expensive, try these:

Shop at Powder Valley for all of your reloading supplies. Reloading Presses Ship Free.

Graf & Sons, the reloading authority, has a wide selection of reloading supplies, shooting supplies, ammo and more.

seeing how your in newport beach theres going to be a gun show at the end of nov. at the OC fair grounds. you can buy components there fairly cheap but if you decide to go that route make sure you buy in bulk to curb the entrance fee otherwise your better off going to turners or if you don't mind the drive go out to ammobros in cerritos you may want to call ahead to make sure they got want you want.
