    Picking up range brass

I normally transport my ammo and mags in a plastic ammo box. When I'm done shooting I throw my used brass into my ammo can, with my empty mags.

I just got a new range bag that won't allow me to do this, without getting the bag dirty.

Anybody got any good tips/ideas for picking up and transporting used brass?

Or put them back in the trays. That's what I do. Once they are too dirty I throw the trays in the dishwasher.

          Jk

I have an old crown royal bag that i use for when i pick up my once fired brass to give to a buddy who reloads.

Question though... if i pick up all brass that i find @ the range, some may have been previously reloaded. Does that matter for him? Im sure he inspects every case for obvious cracks but if it 'looks ok' and reloads it, is there a higher possibility for some kind of failure?

I keep a couple of ziploc freezer bags in my range bag.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

And buy the freezer ones, more heavy duty, using them for years.

Usually I've never had a problem with range brass. Im kind of a brass whore and grab whatever I can. However I think I've ran into some glocked brass and had a few issues in my RIA 9mm. So inspection will be on my list. However it doesn't seem to be a huge problem.

As for number of reloads I wouldn't worry about straight walled pistol brass. Especially if you keep pressures moderate. If you notice any cracks then toss.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.
