Gemco, haven't heard that in a while. Remember Fedco?

I have a 1 lber of Hodgden 4831 powder in a cardboard container with a price tag of $1.30. I'll have to get a picture of it for you guys. It feels like it may have never been opened.

I have those two same cans, one of bullseye, one of unique. The unique has never been opened, has a big metal pull tab on top over the cap. Now the 5 lbs of red dot I got in the deal in a big cardboard container, think it is from the 70's and shoots just fine....

I have a couple of cans like that that I bought in the 1960's. The powder is still good.

I remember Gemco. I bought my Rem Varmint rifle/scope/rings and bases/reloading dies/ammo/bullets/powder/primers for it there. That was a good store.

Those are from the late 60's. I bet it's still good to go. I still use some Dupont in the metal cans from the late 70's, it's marked 8.99. Gemco was OK, sad to see them go. The late 70's was bad for cars though, remember the Gremlin?

I have a Hercules Unique can exactly like that sitting on a shelf in the den. Price on label is $2.65. Also bought at Gemco at the same time I bought my Ruger Blackhawk .41 mag for $84.95. Yr was either 71 or 72.

Two weeks later I went down the street to Woolworths "five n dime" and bought a Rem 788 in .243 for the same price of $84.95.
