    QUICKLOAD Powder data or substitute

    I'm trying to develop some loads with 800-X powder,
    as the Quickload crowd knows, this isnt available as an included powder.
    Does anyone have parameters or know of a site to download the data so I can load it, or suggest a very similar powder to use?
    Although not exactly the same, 700-X is very close to Titegroup and one can extrapolate some data based on that powder.
    Thanks in advance.

      Sorry 40 SW, 180 or 200 grain RNFP xtremes,for 3.5 and 5" barrels;
      but also wanted a general FYI to extrapolate to other calibers as well if needed.
      ALso if there are any places to obtain the info to custom load a powder in Quickload. There are several powders missing from the database

        From Lyman 49'th edition, hope it gives you some help. Did not see any load for 200grain max was 190grain.

        180 grain hp

        190 grain fp

          Thanks for your help Tylenol999 but I was actually looking at being able to play with the parameters of the cartridge to achieve a nominal burn rate dependent on the barrel length,
          Its a quickload question really, of trying to get Powder data into the program to play with the numbers a bit.
          I am able to do so very easily with most Rifle cartridges, starting to do so with pistol calibers.

            I've emperically back calculated 800X to be close to Herco in 40 S&W using the 401-175-TC bullets (2.4% difference in MV) using 6 and 6.3g 800X seated to 1.135" COL. In 9mm and .308, I was closer Quickload using VV N340 data and it did work when predicting .308 load data.

            No, this is not endorsed by anyone and is extremely dangerous to do if you don't know what you are working with, but for me, it was a good tool to predict mid-pressure range and low-pressure range load data and muzzle velocities.

            I have not tried comparing 800X to AA7 which should also be a close match.
