How is Magtech 38 spl ammo?

Hello, how is this ammo? I'm using it to break in and practice with my new S&W 642. I've found a pretty good price online for it but thought I'd ask some of you in the know with experience with this brand of ammo.

    Thanks!

Magtech should be GTG. I've shot a lot of it in 38, 45 ACP, & 44 Mag - no issues at all. It's good ammo.

I have shot it in .38 spl and .45 acp. reliable and shoots good, cases are good for reloading too.

Is it pretty clean or does it leave a lot of dirty residue?

Its relatively clean - as in there are others that are dirtier. But, if you clean your guns every once in a while, it shouldn't matter.

I shot some .38 fmj flatnose through my revolver. No duds. Not particularly dirty.

              Another vote for GTG.
I bought a few cases two years ago when it was cheap
              at $6 a box for .357 and 9mm.
I bought it for the brass but I was surprised, it's great range ammo.

Another +1 vote for Magtech. We sell a lot of it in our shop because it works and is affordable. The ammo fires relatively clean, the brass lasts as long as any other (i. e. it's good brass), and so far, it's gone bang every time.

Not too dirty, but not worth $20 a box IMO.

Hmm...I'm not seeing factory .38 Spl ammo, from any manufacturer, for less than $20/box, even at Wal-Mart, which has a lot of .38 Spl on the shelves now. Matter of fact, Wally's prices are $20.99, as of last week.

That is, of course, why I reload this round. So, buy a few boxes, and Keep Thy Brass. Then reload it.

So, $19.99 for a box of 50 from American Eagle is a good deal?
