Suggestions on this bench/stool

Hello,

I want to put a bench in my office (gets hot in the garage)
I dont want to spend alot and dont want to take up to much space any suggestions on this home depot bench. I need to mount a lnl ap.

Also any suggestions on what stool/seat you use or suggest with reloading sessions of atleast 2 hours i'd wsnt to be comfortable and at a good height

For indoors, I would use a cabinet. Free ones can be found on Craigslist.

that would work IF you bolt it to a wall. some large angle brackets into the studs or better yet a piece of plywood on the drywall into the studs first, then the bracket to distribute the forces so you don't crush the drywall

I have one in my garage. It's surprisingly sturdy for what it is, but I also recommend bolting it to the wall studs for press work. I have been using an old steel top desk in my walk in closet for twenty years. I can sit in a comfortable office chair and do my press work. It doubles as a smithing bench for handgun work. There as many ways to skin this cat as there is imagination. A friend made a fold up bench that was bolted in his closet.

I thought about a strong old wooden desk also bronco. Beggers cant be chosers i wouldnt mind something that looked more presentable (for the wifes eyes) buy a free cabinet sounds strong and a smart idea also

I've been looking into this as I have had some L-3/L-4 issues from work. I started with the metal shop stools from Costco and have worked my way through a bunch of different stools

I highly recommend a saddle chair...like the Jobri Saddle Chair for a bit less than $160. It offers most of the functionality of the $800 Salli saddle chair (I was able to borrow one from my dentist's office and it was great)

I have the craftsman stool stool from sears. Looks cool in the garage but not good for anything more that 30 mins of reloading.

The saddle chair is designed for folks who spend a lot of time working while sitting erect or leaning forward, like in a dental office or at a cosmetology salon.

Your alignment remains as when you are standing, but without the strain on your legs and lower joints

For shooting and reloading you can use a drummers throne. Find a used one and save a ton of money.
You don't want more than 3 legs.
It needs to adjust for height.
Nothing is going to be comfortable for excessively long sessions.

better off building the bench, that way you get it exactly how you want it. when I built mine it cost me less than $70 including the cost to have cut to size the 3/4 oak veneer that I was using instead of plain old plywood. it is at kitchen counter top height, but I load standing (comfortable shoes are a must, I use a pair of Birkenstock) the other trick is the inline fab ergo lever.

I would add that drummers are constantly in motion. Upper body and legs. And it can be extremely energetic.

As long as you are not fussy.... A "Used" Office furniture store might have a Drafting chair.... with arm rests, a gas cylinder for spring, a foot rest, swivels, on wheels, seat tilts.. etc......

I have the very same bench, and really like it. I used a couple of coats of polyurethane on the top. It holds my presses and a whole lot of supplies on the bottom shelf. It may not be pretty, but the price was very good.

Another vote for a drum throne here.

I use a Roc N Soc Lunar drum throne. It has a gas lift with a lot of bounce (in a good way) and can adjust from 19-27". It works well for drumming, too!

Also, my brother has that same bench, and it's pretty solid. Plenty solid for a Lee Classic Turret. I'm not sure how it would handle a progressive, though.

Bastard, do you use a inline fab mount? (Which i was hoping not to have to buy)

How long can you reload standing for, i never gave it a try guess my current bench wont allow it.

Im going to look into these drum thrones also

Willing to buy a nice bench upto $100.00 dont know if i feel upto building my last build is crappy but i didnt have wood precut by hardware store which i would this time.

Overall i wish i could just find someone giving away an old strong wooden desk

I hate seeing my new lnl ap just sitting sad in the corner as i use my lee turret for now.
