Glock 20 shooters, keep .40 brass and use, or sell and use 10mm?

I have a lot of .40 brass sitting around and I don't own a .40. I just bought a Glock 20 so now I do have a 10mm. I'm wondering if I should take the .40 brass and shoot it up, or just sell it and get 10mm brass. I know a G20 will run .40 and I've seen enough of it to think that it is safe. I'm just wondering if there will be extra wear around the lip of the chamber into the bore if I shoot a couple thousand .40 rounds in a 10mm. This seems like it could be a problem because 10mm headspaces on the case mouth.

    What do you think?

I shoot my .40 reloads out of my G29 and G20 extensively, and have not noticed any strange wear or side effects. That being said, I am not an expert or metallurgist, just shooting and training enthusiast who doesn't want to lose 500+ pieces of 10mm brass per trip. If it scares you, sell the .40 brass off, but don't expect a 1:1 ratio vs 10mm pricing

That is kind of my thinking in terms of treating it as more disposable. This is exactly the first hand feedback I was looking for. I'm guessing extensively means many thousands of rounds based on 500+ a trip? I'll keep it and shoot it up. Thanks.

What is your preferred .40 load in your G20?

Scobun does you G20 shoot to poa ( point of aim) my G20 would shoot like 4" high at 15yds.. Had to change the rear sight to a shorter one & corrected the problem. I'd buy the .40 conversion barrel if I was going to shoot .40 in the G20 & not worry about something going wrong.

I would estimate about 2000 .40 though the stock G20 barrel now, but I also have a .40 Lonewolf I used in classes (from before, when I was worried about it)

My main load for .40 is 165gr Xtreme over 5.3g 231

Ok so I am interested in doing this. So just load 40 ammo and it will fire from my g20?

Does .40 not headspace off the case mouth?

Yeah, but I guess as long as the extractor is in good condition it will hold the round in place to be fired.
